Many great bloggers recommended me this book. I was also recommended to start at the beginning, but this time around I skipped the first book :P I will probably read it the year. But I was really intrigued by this one. So I couldn't wait. I went into this book expecting great romance and hot sex. Lol I know, but this is genuinely what I thought I was getting myself into. Wrong.

Holy shit. This book. Especially the first part. Fuck. I did not expect that. He first husband was a complete narcissistic psycho.

I was scared while reading, let alone poor Haven in the actual story. It was horrible and I was crying, cause it hit me that this isn't only a story.. Abuse does happen in reality and that is scary. Very much so.

When Haven finally escapes its pure relief for the reader. And this is where the new journey begins.

Haven was a lovable character. I really liked her. And completely loved her therapy sessions! Must be a psychologist thing, I dunno. Anyway, the way she is trying to rebuild her life.. she is brave. Ofcourse relapses happen along the way but she is determinated get it through.

Hardy. Oh, poor guy. See this is what happens when you skip the first book in the series. You have no clue what the hell is going on, kinda. The Travis family isn't really nice to him, but he genuinely likes Haven, so I liked him.

The romance was, mmm, different. Because of course, after what Haven went through in her marriage, some finesse would be expected, if not demanded, really. But nonetheless, it was sweet. I liked them as a couple.

The twist was kind of expected, but not really. There is some great action as well. The writing was very real, it encompassed all the horrible things into a very vivid picture. Feelings, so many feelings! As I said, scary. So, if you are searching for a contemporary romance, which tackles real world abuse and real world problems and consequences about it, then the Blue-eyed devil is the perfect book for you!
