After spending three London seasons searching for a husband, Daisy Bowman's father has told her in no uncertain terms that she must find a husband. Now. And if Daisy can't snare an appropriate suitor, she will marry the man he chooses—the ruthless and aloof Matthew Swift.

Daisy is horrified. A Bowman never admits defeat, and she decides to do whatever it takes to marry someone . . . anyone . . . other than Matthew. But she doesn't count on Matthew's unexpected charm . . . or the blazing sensuality that soon flares beyond both their control. And Daisy discovers that the man she has always hated just might turn out to be the man of her dreams.

But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered . . . one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy's wildest fantasies.

- Goodreads.com description

Daisy is the last wallflower left of the group. All her friends have found their love matches and she is the only one left. But with all the plotting and scheming, her father ruins everything. He decides that he is going to pick her husband. Daisy is horrified and Lillian is outrageous about it. They plan to avert their father's plan completely. But you know how it is with plans..

Daisy. Sweet, little, bookworm Daisy. She read romance novels during the day and she dreams about them during the night. And when she is faced with the grown up man Matthew Swift has become, her whole world spirals out of control.

Matthew Swift. He is handsome, kind and ambitious. He also loved Daisy for forever. From the first time he saw her. And he was as shocked as Daisy was about her father's ultimatum. Because Matthew has a secret he cannot share with anyone...

The romance in this book was sweet. Daisy fell in love gradually and the whole romance progressed slowly and although there were moments of passion, it was all very sweet.

I've read some reviews about this book and they said this book wasn't nearly as good as the previous ones. But I have to disagree. I adored Daisy. And it was beautiful to see how the other wallflowers were doing in their marriages and how happy they were. Building their own families and be still such good friends toward each others.

So, if you are a fan of a sweet historical romance, full of hope and fears and dreams for a better future, I suggest you read this book. Well, read the whole Wallflowers series :) But really, Scandal in Spring is a really sweet story you do not want to miss!
