Alexa Holland’s father was her hero—until her shocking discovery that she and her mother weren't his only family. Ever since, Alexa has worked to turn her life in a different direction and forge her own identity outside of his terrible secrets. But when she meets a man who’s as damaged by her father’s mistakes as she is, Alexa must help him.

Caine Carraway wants nothing to do with Alexa’s efforts at redemption, but it’s not so easy to push her away. Determined to make her hate him, he brings her to the edge of her patience and waits for her to walk away. But his actions only draw them together and, despite the odds, they begin an intense and explosive affair.

Only Caine knows he can never be the white knight that Alexa has always longed for. And when they're on the precipice of danger, he finds he’ll do anything to protect either one of them from being hurt again…

- Goodreads.com description

Romance. Twists. Sex. Secrets. Betrayal. This book has it all. And I loved every second of it!

Alexa. Alexa is a very fascinating character. She has an impressive personality. And her sarcasm is mind-blowing, awe-inspiring and wonderful. I shall say, she is a legend and I want to be like her. I really wish I was that awesome.

Caine. HA. I don't really know what to do about this guy. He is messed up. Like driving you out of your mind messed up. I understand traumas and various circumstances, but Jesus, this guy almost borderline. First he is an ass, then he is kinda better, then he is an ass again, then all of a sudden he cares and then.. mahh. I did enjoy the woah moments of pure raw passion, but.. mahh. It's complicated.

The plot was great and the twists and secrets and mystery, all of it was magnificent. I love this book! And the family drama. Oh, love me drama! Yes, I rather enjoyed this book very much.

So, the new romance of the bestselling author of On Dublin Street is stunning. I enjoyed it way more than I did On Dublin Street. Alexa was, in my opinion, way more likeable than Joss ever was. So, if you are searching for a hot contemporary romance full of secrets, betrayal, unforeseeable twists, Hero is the perfect book for you!
