In My Mailbox (1)

"In My Mailbox" is a weekly post hosted at The Story Siren and it's about what new books we got in the mail or we bought or got in the library or whatever this week.

Finally!! I've got my book :) Been a long time since I finished The Iron Queen. Ahh I am so happy. First I've tought that it will be a bit weird to read the book from Ash's point of view and not Meghans, but it's quite ok ;) I hope Ash will figure out a way for him and Puck to get along. And most of all I hope he will find a way to get the possibility to be with Meghan!! He deserves that. So yeah, we'll see ;)

And finally, I've got this book! :) They all say it is AMAZING and I really think it's time now to figure it out by myself! ;) It says that if you liked Twilight, you'll like this one as well. Well, I hope it is true :)

I'm so so happy I can't describe how! Ahh, Ash <3

And what about you? What book will you be reading next?

Top Ten Books I Wish I Would Read Again for the First Time

It's Top 10 Tuesday (hosted at The Broke and the Bookish) and the topic is
Top 10 Books I Wish I Would Read Again for the First Time

Ok, I guess I did a bit of a mess. Two weeks ago I actually thought that was the topic of top 10. Oopps. But then again ... I think I can handle that also :D

1. Blood Promise by Richelle Mead
One of my favourite books EVER. I've spent 2 days and 2 nights to finish. I haven't gone to sleep. It was a waste of time ;) Ohh and I haven't eaten at all. I was just drinking lattes the whole time. It was one of the most amazing book experiences ever. I wish I could do it again and again.

2. City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
OMG, this book was AMAZING. I loved it so so much. Til the end it was just like wooow. And the end was so so beautiful. Ahh Jace <3

3. Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead
OMG waaw. This book was so amazing. I cried so much in the end. I was shocked for days after I read the book.

4. New Moon by Stephanie Meyer
I was crying for the whole book. It was amazing. I mean it was so heart breaking I couldn't stop reading and crying. And the race to save Edward was AMAZING! I love this book so much and I wish there would be a way to read it again for the first time! But I know it by memory now because I couldn't stop rereading it ;)

5. Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead
The beginning of the story is always great. And the beginning of the story of Georgina was amazing. When she first met Seth. When she met Roman. It was so funny. I loved it.

6. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Ahh, Katniss. She was so brave and awesome. All the fighting and surviving. We don't get to think about hunger anymore in these days, so it was nice to read a book about how hard is for some people to survive the day. I liked it a lot.

7. The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa
Ohh the first book was amazing. Seeing how Meghan is falling in love with Ash was so beautiful. And then in the second book seeing how she fights to keep that love it's just amazing. Did I mention the end of the second book? OMG, I was crying so hard. It was the perfect ending ever! It was EPIC!!

8. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Ahh, Patch. A bad guy. I guess I'll always love the bad guys. And Patch is like "woooow darling, why don't you show up in my real life?" The story is so well done. And in the end, it all comes out perfect. And Nora is so so brave.

9. City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
Ohh the end of City of Bones left me with my jaw dropping so hard. I couldn't believe it. And in this book, you can see how much Clary and Jace are hoping that the reality would be as it is. I had wished it too. It was so heart breaking. The scene at the Seelie Court was AMAZING. Is one of my favourite scene EVER!

10. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
Ohh this story was so beautiful. She tries and tries so live. Keep repeating every day over and over again. And the end is so so sad. I actually cried. Yeah, I loved this book!!

Top Ten Book Endings That Left Me With My Mouth Hanging Open

It's Top 10 Tuesday (hosted at The Broke and the Bookish) and the topic is
Top 10 Book Endings That Left Me With My Mouth Hanging Open

SPOILER alert!

Ok. Endings. I always have troubles with the endings - if it's not obvious, well, then I kind of don't understand it. Usually, I read the same books as my mum and then we comment the story and the end and stuff. Also with movies - that endings I don't get as well. But there I have my mum explain it to me. Some times I question about what would have happened next after the book is finished. I usually love happy endings :) They are so expected, but still, if there is no happy ending than the story it's kind of weird..

1. City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
OMG, what the hell of an ending?! I was completely shocked!! I mean everything was so good and nice and everything.. It was then that I got that weird feeling and then paaaaaaf. Huh?! Are you kidding me?!? This can't be happening. Awful. Totally awful.

2. The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa
Ohh my God, the ending of this book was one of the most beautiful happy endings EVER written. Seriously. I think I was crying in the end because I couldn't believe that there could possibly exist such an amazing ending like that. It was so so beautiful. <3

3. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead
Well I loved Vampire Academy and so of course I loved the end - No, I didn't like that it had finished but I did like the end. The story was so complex. I loved it. Maybe the way Richelle have put it in the end - like explaining what happened.. Well, I didn't like that. I would have preferred that there would have been another 20 pages left. It was too fast, I mean after Rose got shot everything was happening too fast.

4. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
I loved that ending!! It was so epic!! The battle, the victory, everything was so great. And Bella was so happy, that you just felt the need to be happy too. And in the end when she let Edward reads her thoughts - that is just so so beautiful. And nice. Forever. Ahh <3

5. Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
What the hell?!? I mean seriously WHAT THE HELL?! After all that fighting he finally said to her that he loved her and then paaaaaff. HUH?? Ok, also all that business with Rixon was totally awful, but THAT was somehow too much. OMG, I still can't believe it!! Awful. I mean it was so exciting til the end and everything but seriously I haven't seen it coming. I am still shocked. Fuck.

6. Succubus Revealed by Richelle Mead
OMG, I loved Georgina's story since the first few pages of Succubus Blues. And actually, I haven't seen it coming. The actual revelation of the story - I've thought it was pretty amazing. Everything had fall into place like a puzzle.

7. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
The ending of this book was like woooooow! I mean its story is great and you want to understand why everyone behaves like weird. And then everything happened so fast and then she shot that arrow and then hell broke in. Waaw! I loved it! It was unexpected.

8. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
What the hell was THAT?! I mean, we won and haven't died and everything, but still, the way Will was talking to Tess, in the end, was just awful and sad. He looked such as a jerk and bastard. And then that with Magnus Bane?! Ok, I knew there must have been a connection but still I haven't thought it will be like a mystery. We'll see. Hopefully.

9. Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn’t Have) by Sarah Mlynowski
Ok in this book I totally thought April will get caught by her dad. So you can imagine my shock when she didn't :P It was funny.

10. Iron Crowned by Richelle Mead
I was shocked!! What the hell?! I've thought he loved her. Bastard!! But then again, I preferred Dorian since the beginning. But it was still a shock.

week number thirteen

On Friday I came back to London at 8am. I've been sleeping for, um, like 3 hours. It was bad. But I wasn't sleepy at all. So when I came back home I sat in the kitchen and I've been reading Passion. And I finished it :) Nice ending but it's still not the end :P. In the afternoon  I prepered myself to go out. I needed to go in the pub I was working at to return the keys. Apparently I was so stunningly beautiful that ma ex colleagues hadn't recognize me. Awesome lol. It was so funny. I said bye bye and went away. Thank God Enis wasn't there. Maybe I would have sent him ti hell. Probably. Then I went out. I went to Captian Cabin and there was noone of the Britbound there. Huh?! I was waiting and waiting. What the hell!? Then after half an hour they came. The meeting was running late and that was why they were late. And I've tought they forgot about me. Ahh. They didn't :). And we went to Tiger Tiger yeeey.
I love that place!! It was so funny. I've been drinking with Scott on the bar, Erin was working. Tom and Chris came. Daniel didn't come :( - ok, he was working, but still!! And niether did Tess :(. But we had fun anyway :) It was awesome :) I was dancing a lot. I also meet a guy - Steven. A nice English guy. Too bad I'm heading back home :P.  For my leaving party Erin gave me the best gift ever. I was so surprise I wanted to start crying. I was so happy and sad at the same time. God, I will miss this people. All of them. Erin, Scott, Tess, Daniel, Chris, Tom, Lauren, ahh all of them. They made all my Fridays the best parties EVER. They made MY London. Thank you! xoxo
Erin giving me the bracelets.
Glowing in the dark. Erin* I will love you forever!!
On Saturday we went together with my roommates out in the park to have a picnic in Hyde Park. Before we went in the shop to buy beers, wine, ice cream, sweets, chips. The park was full of people. I was such a nice day. The sun was shining and it was pretty hot. We were drinking, eating, dancing, chatting. It was great. In the evening we went out clubbing. Me, Olly, Emanuela and Boran - it was so fun. We went to The Verve and it was great. The music was amazing and God, it was hot like in an oven. OMG I was melting. Seriously. But it was great!! Then we went home and Olly have bought some Ciders and we headed to the kitchen and had an after party :D We've been drinking Ciders and we've been chatting a lot. After hours and hours we went to sleep :) It was so nice.
After party in the kitchen.
On Sunday I think we all woke up with a hangover. I cooked a soup with cheese. Then went to bad again. I was so so tired. In the afternoon we went to Alexander Palace to have a picnic in the sun again. Me, Emanuela, Olly, Valerio and Boran. It was nice and the weather was still great :). And the view was AMAZING. So so waaw. I was actually surprised I've never been there before. Then we went eating in a pub. Chips in London is so awesome. I love it!! I will miss that :/

On Monday I've been reading Hush, hush - it is AMAZING. This book caught me with the first page. So so great! In the afternoon I week to Green Park to meet Tina. We had a coffe in the park and we've been enjoying the sun. Around 6pm I've meet with Erin and we went in the shop to buy a Cider and then went in Green Park and we were chatting about everything :P Then we went to Victoria to take a train to Bromly - South East London. We went to her home and we ate chinese food :D I love noodles!! Then Scott came and we went together in a local pub where they had karaoke :D I actually wasn't singing :P Erin didn't want to. It was fun :) Then we went back to Erin's place and we actually slept all three together on a bed for two. Lol. It was funny.

On Tuesday Scott woke up really early, like at 6am and left for work. Me and Erin slept for a bit more and then we to take the train because Erin needed to go to work. At Victoria we separeted - she went to work and I went to Green Park. Then I headed to see the last time the Buckingham Palace.
Then I went to Big Ben. Ohh my Big Ben, I will miss you so much!! I've been sitting there for hours. Then I went to South Bank and watched the London Eye.
Then I headed to Waterloo and then pass Waterloo Bridge. I love that bridge. The view is amazing!!
I went to Trafalgar Square. I've been sitting on the top of the stairs under the obelisk. It was so beautiful. I've been sitting there for hours as well. Trafalgar Square is such an amazing place. Is so so big. And the two symmetrical fountains.. Waaw. I love it!

Then I went to Leicester Square and then to Piccadilly Circus. Ohh Piccadilly.. It will be my favourite place in London for forever. God, I will miss it so much!! And when I was leaving I tought "I will always come back for you" and I turned around and in that moment there was a publicity saying - If there is a will, there is a way - Yes, I will be back for sure ;) That was a sigh!!
I went to Oxford Street to go to my bank and say goodbye to Alex - my bank counselor :P He said to inform him when I will come back, so I will come to say hi :) I was meeting Tina in Green Park for a coffe. We've been chatting and laughing and when we needed to say goodbye it was so hard :/ I will miss Tina!! Then I went to Victoria and went directly to Claire's shop and I've bought myself a watch. A really nice one! :) I love it :) Then I decided to go home. I still need to pack.
And ofcourse insted of packing, we throw a party in the kitchen :D Emanuela brought the Sicilian Vulcano and I guess I'm having another leaving party!! SO SO NICE!! :) I am so happy! And Rory - he actually doesn't drink at all - but he IS drinking now!! :) OMG I will miss them so much!
Imagination rules the world.
Finally. All together!! Boran, Emanuela, Nea, Oleg, Rory, Valerio.
Every minute is getting  more awkward :D

Edinburgh

I woke up on Monday very early. I had the bus at 9am. And ofcourse there was a trouble on the tube I needed to take. Awesome. God, I was in such a hurry. Running. Ahh my lovely London. I got on the station at 8.45am. Which was ok, if we skip the fact that I was suppose to be there at max 8.20am. Whatever. I've caught the bus and that was the most important thing. It was 9am and we headed to Edinburgh. Huh,  just 9 hours and half of jurney. Jeej. My computer was fully recharge. I've been reading a book - Torment (which I finished on half way) and ther Passion. I had actually a great time on the bus - if you skip the fact that I was actually uncomfortable. We arrived on time :) I get out of the bus and went out of the bus station. Down the road I saw a McDonald and I was so thirsty and I wanted a coke. And there it was when I was it. OMG!! My jaw dropped and I couldn't belive what I was seeing. It was so so beautiful. In that moment I knew this city was meant to be my city. Screw the weather I want to live there. The view of the city from down St. Andrew Sqaure is AMAZING.
This is part of the view. On the left you can see the North Bridge. On the right there are the caterdals and upon the hill there is the Castle.

I called Arnaud and he came to pick me up. His house was half an hour from the center. Cool. We went by walk. He gestured me all the important stuff so I will be able the next day to find it by myself :). The house was like an old hotel seriously. Kind of funny. And 9 people living there. Awesome. So you can imagine the kitchen in the evening. It was so cool. They were all so friendly and nice. We ate, we chat and drank wine :) Awesome ;)) Imran, one of the roommates, agreed to go around the city next day with me. And so we did meet next day after he finished his college lessons. Before that I went to see the University - which is amazing. Big and great. The campus of colleges is huge. I went tothe recruitment office to collect all the informations about the postgraduate course. Awesome :) I felt happy about it.
This is the inside of  the University of Edinburgh.

Then I went a bit around the city. It was so hot in Edinburgh - I was actually dressed for winter weather, BIG mistake, but at least I had short T-shirts. We met at the Scott Monument - which I loved from the very first moment.
We tought to go around the city, but then we decided the sun was so amazing that maybe we should just stay in the park and take the sun for a while. We went to Costa to grab a Caramel latte and then we head to the park. It was so sunny and hot. After 3 months of clouds in London, belive me I couldn't get enough of the sun ;)
After taking the sun for like 2 hours we went around the city. We saw so many amazing buildings, churchs, cementerys, the castle, the princes gardens. Waaw everything was so beautiful.
The Castle of Edinburgh.
The Princes Gardens with the city in the background.

After walking for 3-4 hours we decided to go back home to eat something. Yeah actually we were so into the city that we forgot to eat :P. On the way home we stopped on Royal Mile/High street. Woow. This street is so amazing. Is long and so so beautiful. Like in a fairytale. I loved it <3
High Street.

When we came back home, we were resting for a bit. Then we had a party in the kitchen again :D With most of the roommates and we had a chat, we eated and drank wine. Awesome. They are actually all there for study, so we had such an amazing conversations about, um, everything. It was great. There was this guy, Damon, who had a master in Cambridge and a master in Oxford and he was doing a Phd in Edinburgh - so you can imagine he became my idol. Like seriously omg. We had actually some pretty hardcore conversations lol. After all that wine.. yeah.
The next day me and Imran went to meet Brina and Jure :) We meet on High Street and we went together in the park. On the way we grabed a coffe and went to take the sun. It was hot. It was so nice to see Brina after soooo long. Then I went with Imran to see the Castle. It was huge. We actually didn't get in, but we stick around pretty much and make pictures :P The view was incredible. You could see all Edinburgh. Amazing.
The Castle.

We walked around a bit and then we decided to go home but insted took another way. We went  through the park. It was sunny and so all the people were sitting on the grass in the park. Waaw. I reminded me of Lampiončki :) It was so beautiful. Then ofcourse we got lost, but afterwards we've found the right way home :P In the evening I meet Brina and Jure and we went out in Hard Rock Caffe. We had a cider, a beer. It was nice :)
At midnight we went out and in that moment a guy came around and gave each of us a flyer and said "Have a good evening". Ok. We looked at the flyer. Free entry to a club. And then Brina said "This is a sign" and me "and a very good one. Awesome". I was so so happy. And we went in the club, which was actually like 10 meters from Hard Rock Caffe. So cool. The music was amazing, all the greatest songs ever. I was overexited. ;) We danced. It was so great. And then Brina and Jure left to go home. Ofcourse I stayed :P I wouldn't miss the fun for nothing in the world. And hell, it was fun. I was dancing so much. The Scotish guys, I must say, they are so so easy, I was actually shocked. I didn't know how to say "back off" in a polite way. In the end I just said "back off" lol :P I meet some guys which were funny and nice. The girls were so pretty and all in high heels. And me in my boots. Yeah party hard. Anyway it was great and so hot. It was actually that hot that I was practically melting. Then I decided to go home. Arnaud gave me the key, the whole house was sleeping lol. :)
The next day I went around the city by myself. I went on the other side which I haven't been in the previous days. It was cool. All the streets are so nice. I've found a Shop with books which were so awfully cheap, OMG, I wanted to buy all of them. The worst thing is, I knew I couldn't buy all of them. Then I decided that I don't care for the Ryanair baggage, screw it, and I bought two books. And I was happy. :) I went around the city, the day was hot. I went down the High Street to the other side of the city. Also very nice.
I really like the High Street. It's very long and so so beautiful. I also saw the Queen's Castle - which is woow. Queen style you know :P I stick around the center a little more and then I went home, because I had an agreement with Arnaud that I will make a Slovenian dinner. Yeah. Ofcourse I called my mum lol. Tenstan krompir in meso :). It was actually fun. Arnaud was playing guitar and I was cooking while we were drinking wine :P. He said it was good. ;)
Proof of my cooking! (and the effect of the wine :P)

Then I went to the bus station and started my 9 hours jurney back to London - and again it wasn't comfortable at all.
